We can provide a complete service, from the initial design and manufacture of press and mould tools, to the final production of components. Whether your component requires one simple stage piercing operation, or a more complex progression tool, we have the design and manufacturing capabilities to cater for all press & mould tool requirements. Design & Manufacture Of Prototype Work & One Off Work

There is great uncertainty as to whether a new design will actually do what is desired. New designs often have unexpected problems so a prototype is often used as part of the product design process. This allows engineers and designers the ability to explore design alternatives and confirm performance prior to starting production for a new product. Merlin Precision Engineers use their experience to tailor the prototype according to specific instructions, and also cater for one off projects working from detailed drawings.

Re-engineering Of Broken / Obsolete Parts

Do you have a damaged or broken part that is no longer available as a stock item? We can manufacture you a brand new replacement component/part based on the damaged component/part, saving you the expense of having to replace a whole machine or assembly. We’ll then keep the design on file, and can manufacture any quantity required with minimum lead times.

Jigs and fixtures are production tools used to accurately manufacture duplicate and interchangeable parts. Jigs and fixtures are specially designed so that large numbers of components can be machined or assembled identically, and to ensure interchangeability of components.
